Cambridge Veterinary Interview Preparation
Due to the academic intensity of interviews, if you are applying to Cambridge, you will require something more bespoke – we provide tutorials and mock interviews led by a Cambridge veterinary student or veterinary alumni.
Students enrolled on our Oxbridge Admissions Programmes are 300% more likely to get an Oxbridge offer.
How does it work?
Purchase your mock interview online
We have super flexible payment plans of up to 12 months - interest-free. As soon as you place your order, we will begin matching you with a specialist Cambridge tutor (usually within 1-2 working days). We’ll collect a few bits of information such as which college you will be applying to, and whether you are a school-leaver, gap-year student, mature, graduate or international applicant.
Meet your tutor
We'll match you to a tutor that is currently studying Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge, we’ll also attempt to match the college (if possible!). We also have a number of qualified Cambridge graduate vets who are happy to help if you would like a more senior tutor. Once confirmed, your tutor will then finalise your tutorial date with you directly, provide joining instructions to the tutorial and any pre-reading material if required.
Attend your tutorial
A bespoke tutorial at any time, from any location - choose the date and time that suits you. Our Cambridge mock interviews can be intense - practice makes perfect. Cambridge Interview Preparation FAQs
Got some questions about our Cambridge one-to-one coaching? You might just find the answer here. If not, you can always reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help
Coaching is provided by a range of Cambridge vet students or alumni. Our team has a diverse range of experience and are experienced in interviewing students. Our tutors are all interviewed, DBS checked and undergo training prior to teaching on any one-to-one session. If you have a preference, we will aim to find a tutor who has had an interview at your university or currently studies there.
Veterinary surgeons
We have a team of senior vets who provide one-to-one sessions around their clinical and academic commitments. Cambridge vets are recent graduates from the last five years.
Veterinary students
Our tutors are current clinical or preclinical students at the University of Cambridge, they are extremely talented and can provide advice on the course, interview and collegiate system.
Absolutely! Whether you require a male or female Cambridge Interview Tutor, a Cambridge Interview Tutor with post-graduate or undergraduate training, or a Cambridge Interview Tutor from a particular college, we will try our best to meet your demands.
Each session varies, prior to a session, your tutor will contact you to establish what you’d like to focus on during the session. Our tutors will find out your ideas, concerns and expectations of the session and also take a copy of your personal statement prior to the interview. In a one-hour session, students can typically encounter a traditional interview with an in-depth scrutiny of the personal statement alongside academic questions – detailed feedback is provided orally and in writing.
This varies from student to student – the most common amount of sessions booked in 2021-22 was 2 hours. We recommend starting off with two hours, once you start having one-to-one sessions, you can easily increase the number of sessions by contacting the team at any time should you need more.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we will continue to provide our courses online. We find that it offers multiple advantages including keeping costs down and increasing the accessibility of vet tutors from all across the UK. But come on, you can take this course from the comfort of your home while wearing your favourite pyjamas.
If you insist, we can offer a selection of one-to-one courses in person, please contact us for more information.
Yes we have many Graduate Vet Interview Tutors! If you are a graduate, please let us know when you first speak to us, as we can match you with a member from our graduate tutoring team.
Sometimes it takes up to 2 working days for us to assign you one of our best interview tutors (usually less), but we appreciate your patience.
Yes, we have worked with veterinary applicants in the past from Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, South Korea and Hong Kong. Our tutors can accommodate dates and times that suit your availability.
Our courses are tailored to non-Cambridge style interviews. The rigour and type of interview at Cambridge is very unique and focused on an individual’s personal statement, advanced principles of science and may often touch on a college tutor’s subject of interest.
MediTutor has an impressive success rate. In 2021-22, over 90% of our veterinary applicants have achieved at least one place at vet school. Students enrolled on our Oxbridge Admissions Programmes are 300% more likely to get an Oxbridge offer.
